Dev Log 5
Okay so there won't be a whole lot discussed in this dev log. Last month was a doozy of a month for posts (obviously), and if you haven't read any of those, here is the quick tl;dr: I had to cancel my TTRPG session last month due to a huge real life thing happening (good news, not bad). I managed to talk about the game, though, so that's a win in my book. None of the things I wanted to fix from last time got done, since I was busy balancing everything else I'm doing — but this month it'll happen.
I am currently redesigning my PDFs that I post on Ko-fi. I think this marks week three of my Ko-fi shop being down, because I want to do them all at once. After all this time, I really hope you guys like the new layout. Along with this, I'm thinking of offering two types of files that you can purchase: one printer-friendly and one digital-friendly. They will probably end up being a bundled zip or something like that. I haven't really checked what file types Ko-fi accepts past PDFs, haha.
I want to mention that I know my weekly bestiary entries have been posting a bit late, but hopefully this week will be the last time. Right now I'm trying to get back to "normal" scheduling and finding whatever little time I have to finish the PDF redesign. I just found out, like 20 minutes ago, that I never actually made a template for the rest of the PDFs. Now I have to go back, make the template, and redo the ten or eleven that I've already updated. It's definitely a process.
What I have left to do for this month's game prep: create maps, pull out and set up the creatures for the two expeditions, and get a list of the classes that my playtesters are playing. And, like I mentioned earlier, I need to fix the little problems that have been there since last time. I don't think those will take long to fix, honestly.
Once I get feedback from my playtesters on what days they're available, I'll schedule the next session weekend. Then the rest of the month gets filled in with the other community events I hold, such as Guild Wars 1, Guild Wars 2, and Warframe.
I think that's it for this dev log. Sorry it wasn't super info-filled, but seriously, go read the entire Blaugust posts. I feel like those were fantastic for me getting my dev log experience in, just in small daily blurbs.
